Well, we are at the halfway mark of November. Remember, the goal of National Novel Writing Month is to write 50,000 words on a novel between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30. I have good news and not so good news.

First, the good news

I have written over 16,000 words since November 1. Let me say it again. Over sixteen thousand words. On my Christmas romance. I am elated about that. It’s more than I’ve written since April. It feels good to be back in the saddle again.

The not so good news

By this point in this post you’ve probably already done the math. If we’re halfway through November and my goal is 50,000 words then I am nine thousand words short. Ideally, I’d be at 25,000 words by now. But I’m not worried. There’s still time to get to 50K. But, as I mentioned, I’m already thrilled to be at 16K. I do not feel like a failure. At all.

I’m achieving my goal of WRITING AGAIN. So, success. And I may still get to 50,000 words. I’ll keep working toward it.

But in this tumultuous, Covid-19 world I refuse to put undue stress on myself and focus on what’s lacking. I will focus on all I have. And right now that’s 16,000 words.

  1. Hello! Do you know if they make any plugins to help with SEO?

I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good success.
If you know of any please share. Kudos!

  2. Hello terrific blog! Does running a blog similar to this
require a large amount of work? I have no expertise in programming but I
had been hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyways, should you have any ideas or techniques for new blog owners please share.
I know this is off subject but I simply wanted to
    ask. Thanks!

  3. I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I
never found any interesting article like yours.

It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
